Buying a new sedan in Israel

More than half of the sedans in the catalogue are hybrid or electric (33 out of 62). The big premium brands (BMW, Audi, Mercedes) account for a large share of the range above ₪300,000.

Olim: hybrid or electric sedan?

An oleh does not pay purchase tax: on a hybrid or petrol sedan, the saving can reach several tens of thousands of shekels. On an electric sedan, the gain is small or nil, because electric cars are already taxed less. The benefit applies to one car per household, within 3 years of making aliyah.
