Diesel is still well represented (12 models), mainly on pick-ups and large 4x4s, alongside petrol (17), hybrid (5) and electric (5).
An oleh does not pay purchase tax: on a petrol, diesel or hybrid 4x4, the saving can reach several tens of thousands of shekels. The benefit applies to one car per household, bought within 3 years of making aliyah, and the car can only be sold freely after 4 years.
